Hi, I am trying to find out if this animal actually exists and is not in fact some cryptozoological myth that's been perpetuated for several years and simply taken as a fact. The sources listed are all tourist sites (which call into question their veracity) and no where on the net can I find anything about this so-called Shapi that isn't the same few lines found on these same sites. There is no binomial nomenclature found for it, no photos, no anything.
