"Shaikh Quraishi, Hashemi, Syed, Siddiqui, Shaikh Siddiqui, Farooqi, Osmani, Alavi are family names signifying Arab ancestory and belong to Shaikh community." Should this line be removed? It is absolute crap, there are millions and millions of people with this surname in the subcontinent, and it is more likely signifying ones shame of his own Indian ancestry, and a desperate attempt to attach themselves to another group that is percieved as stronger, such as the Arabs.
