Quick question, the article refers to Slatina being noted in 1297, where was it noted? I'm sure whatever text there is from that date may be worthy of an article in its own right. Oh, when I have a chance I'll try to clean up the English in this one, it has potential to be interesting.

That tidbit's probably pasted from some other history article on Slatina. This happens often for Croatian towns - many of them don't have a known foundation date, and instead their age is expressed with the year of the first written document that mentions them. Such a document could be something relatively frivolous - a land endowment or contract for the sale of something tangentially related, or something like that. --Joy [shallot] 20:25, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
