Hi, I added 2 more references from The Village Voice and New York Timeout, hope this helps to prove the notability. Obviously they're known a bit less than the Rolling Stones, but they're not just another garage band either : their 1st album was signed on a major, and their 2nd on Chuck D (Public Enemy leader)'s own label.
