Removed the following section from the article as there are frequently large events at Theresienwiese and the public screening during the FIFA World Cup had no special significance --Heikoh 17:58, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On July 4, 2006, Theresienwiese was host to a public screening of the Semi-final of the 2006 FIFA World Cup match in Dortmund, in which Germany played Italy, with many of the latter's fans attending. Despite the fact that Germany lost, there was a good atmosphere and the event passed without aggressive incidents. ^{[citation needed]}

Considering that the 2020 Oktoberfest was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shouldn't that be mentioned in the History section of the article? --71.105.172.218 (talk) 07:58, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
