Tell Keisan, تل كيسان (Arabic name meaning "the mound of treachery" [1]) or Tel Kisson, תל כיסון (Hebrew name), is an archaeological site located 8 km (5.0 mi) from the Mediterranean coast in the Galilee region of Israel between Haifa and Akko.[2] The tell is approximately 15 acres in size[3] and is composed of the accumulated ruins of many large cities dating back to the Chalcolithic period.[4]
