Herb Plambeck
President Harry S. Truman shaking Herb Plambeck's hand
Created by SL93 (talk). Self-nominated at 20:55, 1 November 2021 (UTC).
- – The article is new enough (created on November 1, 2021) and long enough (2,026 characters). It is appropriately cited. Earwig's Copyvio detector detects 2.9% similarity (violation unlikely). The hook is interesting, withing the character limit, and is cited in the article. A QPQ has been done. The image appears to be in the PD, but Plambeck particularly would not be clear at 100px. So, "Good to go!". The background story of the image follows—Truman started his 1948 campaign soon after the Labor Day. During his whistle-stop tour, the first major stop was on Dexter, Iowa, where he addressed on September 18 at the National Plowing Contest. There, after the address, he dressed as an "average American", and discussed the issues with the local farmers, calling Republican Party a "gluttons of privilege". See Harry S. Truman 1948 presidential campaign, an article I wrote 4 months ago. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 15:43, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- Kavyansh.Singh Do you think the image won't work for the main page? SL93 (talk) 21:56, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- I'd leave the selection of image to the prep builder. Not that this image won't work, but if we have better images in other nominations, use them. By all means, if there is a shortage of image hooks, run this with image. Thanks! - Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 00:19, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
