Knockando Woolmill
- Reviewed: This is my fourth nomination, so I'm still exempt from QPQ (although I'm planning to learn how to do this shortly)

- Reviewing...Interesting hook, moved from draft, long enough, QPQ exempt...Give a little while to complete. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:25, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you @Girth Summit:. No copyvio issues, reads well, cited and sourced, hook in article. In 18th century, it was called something else. May I suggest saying "produced at the Knockando Woolmill site"? Whispyhistory (talk) 04:35, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Whispyhistory - nice to bump into you again, and thanks for looking at this. I see what you mean about the name, but I don't really think that it would have had an 'official' name in the 1780s, it would just have been Mr Grant's mill (and a waulk mill is just a type of woolmill). Certainly the sources I'm using (e.g. Pevsner, McKean and the listing documents) consider it to have been a single operation going back to the 18th C - e.g. from Pevsner: "Of international importance, as this is one of the only surviving domestic woolen mills in the world. A 'waulk mill' is first recorded in 1784 and has been in continuous operation since, undergoing gradual expansion as the textile process was mechanised." Does that give you more confidence in the original wording? If not, I'll go ahead and change as you suggest. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 17:17, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
