Kiwi engine is fired up
- ... that during the 1960s and 70s, Project Rover tested nuclear-powered rocket engines (pictured) at the Nuclear Rocket Development Station at Jackass Flats? Source: "Most of the developmental work on the nuclear rocket was being done under contract. As technical development progressed, the need arose to test what had been developed.
