Spitzeln
- ... that although Spitzeln was also called German l'Hombre, it had little more in common with the most successful card game ever invented than the fact that it was played by three players?
Encyklopädie der Spiele, Otto Wigand, Leipzig, pp. 527 ff.) and "... Ombre or l'Hombre. This game is comparatively little played today, but, in its time, was the most successful card game ever invented..." (Dummett, Sir Michael (1980). The game of Tarot, p. 173.)

- The article is long enough and new enough. I assume good faith on the references that I can't access and that there are no copyright violations. A QPQ has been completed. SL93 (talk) 00:00, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
