A female
Thomisus onustus
crab spider
catches a
honey bee
as its prey. The spider, like many other members of the
Thomisus
genus
, is
camouflaged
against its preferred waiting location, in this case a
Yellow Chamomile
flower.
Thomisus
spiders are found worldwide, with the notable exception of most of
South America
.
