Naqsh-e Rustam
Naqsh-e Rustam is an ancient necropolis located about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) northwest of Persepolis, Iran. Dating to at least 1,000 BCE, the necropolis contains four tombs tentatively identified as those of Achaemenid kings, including Darius I and Xerxes I. There are also reliefs of Sasanian kings such as Ardashir I and Shapur I.Photograph: Ggia
