The Yogapith temple in Mayapur, West Bengal, India, is a shrine constructed at the birth site of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486–1533). It was erected in the 1880s by Bhaktivinoda Thakur (1838–1914), a leading Gaudiya Vaishnava reformer and teacher, when, after much research, he rediscovered Chaitanya's original birthplace.
