Prince Edward Island dollar
A banknote in the denomination of ten Prince Edward Island dollars. Introduced in 1872 by the Bank of Prince Edward Island, this dollar circulated in the then-British colony of Prince Edward Island. It replaced the pound at a rate of 1 pound to 4.866 dollars. Although Prince Edward Island joined the Canadian Confederation in 1873, its dollar was reissued once before being absorbed into the Canadian dollar.
