This template standardises WikiProject-associated peer reviews. Previously, around over an hundred Wikiprojects had their own separate peer review processes. This led to a number of problems, particularly with reviews that languished unattended for many years. Many WikiProjects did not even have any peer reviews requested at all. To help unify the way things were done, this template is used to direct editors to use the general Wikipedia peer review process.

It is still possible to include peer reviews on the Wikiproject pages - see example below. This template simply helps direct editors to how to create a peer review using the central process. This means a review might be listed both on a Wikiproject's peer review page, a page that people can be easily watched by Wikiproject participants, and also at the central peer review listing.

Here there are two options at the moment, based on how old reviews are arranged. The most simple option is to have links to old reviews included directly on the page. The more complicated option, most suitable if there are lots of old reviews, is to put old reviews in a category.
