{{{name}}} at The Interviews: An Oral History of Television
This is the template sandbox page for Template:The Interviews name (diff). |
This template uses Lua: |
This is a template to generate links to interviews of specific people at the website The Interviews: An Oral History of Television. It should only be used in the "external links" section of an article.
To link to interviews mentioning a specific person, use {{The Interviews people}}. To link a specific television program, use {{The Interviews title}}.
The required parameter is the ID text. The template then uses the article title as the anchor text:
* {{The Interviews name | ID }} * {{The Interviews name | id = ID }}
To have the link text be other than the article name, use second parameter:
* {{The Interviews name | ID | Name }} * {{The Interviews name | id = ID | name = Name }}
/interviews/
in its URL; these are the pages with interviews of the person. Pages with /people/
list interviews where that person is mentioned by others.https://interviews.televisionacademy.com/interviews/<!-- ID -->
. Copy the part of the url which is substituted here with <!-- ID -->. This will be the first parameter (or id=
).name=
) if it is different from the page name.This can be used when the Wikipedia page name contains disambiguation brackets; for example at the page Robert Butler (director) use {{The Interviews name|robert-butler|Robert Butler}}
to have "Robert Butler at The Interviews: An Oral History of Television" rather than "Robert Butler (director) at The Interviews: An Oral History of Television". This is also necessary should you need to add an interview link to an article about somebody or something other than the linked person (for example, if you include the link for Steve Allen in the Meeting of Minds article, you must specify "Steve Allen" as the text for the link using this option).
