I'm just a little worried someone is going to take exception to the date we assigned Toronto (former city) 1834-1954 instead of 1834-1998. It makes sense for us to divide the history that way but we should still show somehow that the date is one chosen by us and the City continued to exist as a part of Metro from 1954 to 1998. Can we write 1834-1954 [1998] or something like that? Or another idea is to change both references and put: Toronto, York Co. (1834-1954); Toronto, Metro (1954-1998)?
