In Greek mythology, Terpsichore (/tərpˈsɪkəriː/; ‹See Tfd›Greek: Τερψιχόρη, "delight in dancing") is one of the nine Muses and goddess of dance and chorus. She lends her name to the word "terpsichorean", which means "of or relating to dance".
