Topics in the video range from the Ordnung to the Nickel Mines shooting[4][7] to Rumspringa.[3][6] The documentary was written and directed by David Belton.[1][4][7][8] The documentary includes interviews of current and former Amish.[7] A companion book was released in 2013.[9]
