The Asthenic Syndrome (Russian: Астенический синдром, romanized: Astenicheskiy sindrom) is a 1989 Soviet drama film directed by Kira Muratova.[1] It is the sixth feature film directed by Muratova, and arguably her masterpiece,[1] most important film[2] and best known film.[3] The film was entered into the 40th Berlin International Film Festival where it won the Silver Bear - Special Jury Prize.[4] It also won 1991 Nika Award in Russia.[5]
