The Butterfly Lovers (Chinese: 武俠梁祝; lit. 'Wuxia Butterfly Lovers'), also known as The Assassin's Blade or Jiandie (Chinese: 劍蝶; pinyin: Jiàndié; lit. 'Sword Butterfly'), is a 2008 Hong Kong film directed by Jingle Ma and starring Wu Chun, Charlene Choi, and Hu Ge.[2] It is based on the Chinese legend of the Butterfly Lovers, but in a wuxia setting.
