The Hounds Below are an American rock band from Ferndale, Michigan consisting of Jason Stollsteimer (lead vocals, guitar), Will Shattuck (drums), and Adam Michael Lee Padden (bass, backing vocals). The band was formed in 2009, while Stollsteimer was still recording and touring with The Von Bondies. The Hounds Below's debut album, You Light Me Up In The Dark, was released in 2012.

The band has shared the stage with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club,[2] Ash,[3] The Heavy,[4] The Raveonettes,[4] The Grates, The Horrors,[5] The Black Angels,[5] Company of Thieves,[6] Airborne Toxic Event,[7] The Like, Band of Skulls[2] and The Whigs.[8]
