The Monster Kid (Japanese: 怪物くん, Hepburn: Kaibutsu-kun, Little Monster) is a shōnen manga and anime series by Fujiko Fujio. The first series was broadcast on TBS from April 21, 1968, to March 23, 1969.[2] The second series was broadcast on TV Asahi from September 2, 1980, to September 28, 1982.[3] A live-action series was broadcast on Nippon Television and Yomiuri Television from April 17 to June 12, 2010.[4] The 94-episode 1982 iteration was aired around the world, marketed as The Monster Kid,[5][6] which was the official English title.[7]
