The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Show was a musical variety series that aired Saturday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on ABC from September 29, 1962[2] until December 22, 1962.[3][4]
The series was called "a very wholesome musical variety hour"[2] and one reviewer referred to it as "A kind of Lawrence Welk with spurs."[5] Writers were Borden Chase, Stan Davis, Elon Packard, and Bob Henry. Henry was also the director.[1]
The show became the first series to be cancelled during the 1962 television season.[4]
