The Sharkfighters is a 1956 American adventure film starring Victor Mature, supported by Karen Steele, James Olson, and Claude Akins. Directed by Jerry Hopper, its fictional storyline is based on the invention of "Shark Chaser", an historical shark repellent developed by U.S. Navy researchers during World War II.[1][2]
