The Vels was an American new wave and synth-pop band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1980. The band consisted of lead vocalist and keyboardist Alice Cohen (as Alice Desoto), bassist and guitarist Charles Hanson, and keyboardist Chris Larkin.
