Thomas Almond Ashby[2] (November 18, 1848 – June 26, 1916)[3][4] was an American surgeon, writer, and politician, a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. At his death, he was the only faculty member of the University of Maryland to have served in the state legislature.[5]
