Tioga County /tˈɡə/ is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 48,455.[2] Its county seat is Owego.[3] Tioga County is part of the Binghamton metropolitan area. The county is part of the Southern Tier region of the state.

The county's name is a corruption of Iroquois De-yoh-ho-gah, meaning "at the forks" or "where it forks."[4]
