Togulsky District (Russian: То́гульский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the east of the krai. The area of the district is 2,000 square kilometers (770 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Togul.[1] Population: 8,478 (2010 Census);[2] 10,450 (2002 Census);[5] 11,431 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Togul accounts for 51.3% of the district's total population.[2]
