Tom Albanese (born (1957-09-09)September 9, 1957)[1] was the former chief executive officer of the Vedanta Resources and was the former chief executive officer and a board member of the Rio Tinto Group. He was asked to resign from Rio Tinto on January 17, 2013 and was replaced by Sam Walsh.[2][3] Albanese to stepped down as Vedanta CEO in August 2017.[citation needed]
