Thomas Francis Neale (6 November 1902 – 30 November 1977)[1] was a New Zealander who spent much of his life in the Cook Islands, and a total of 16 years – in three sessions – living alone on the island of Anchorage in the Suwarrow atoll, the first two of which were the basis of his popular autobiography An Island To Oneself.
