Toofan[b] is a 2024 Bangladeshi[a] crime thriller film directed by Raihan Rafi and produced by Shahriar Shakil under the banner of Alpha-i Studios Ltd. The story of the film revolves around a gangster of Bangladesh in the nineties, featuring Shakib Khan in dual role along with Mimi Chakraborty and Masuma Rahman Nabila,[3] while Chanchal Chowdhury made an extended cameo appearance.[4]
It is the first collaboration between Khan, Rafi and Chowdhury.[5] The film is marked Khan's 250th film.[6] Toofan is the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all time, highest grossing Bangla film of 2024 and globally the most widely released Bangladeshi film of all time, having been released in nearly twenty countries, as well as the first and only Bangladeshi film to have grossed over ৳56 crore (US$4.7 million).[2][7]
