Tumat (Russian: Тумат; Yakut: Тумат) is a rural locality (a selo), the only inhabited settlement and the administrative center of Tumatsky National Rural Okrug of Ust-Yansky District in the Sakha Republic, Russia, located 656 kilometers (408 mi) from Deputatsky, the administrative center of the district. Its population as of the 2010 Census was 533,[2] of whom 286 were male and 247 female, down from 577 recorded during the 2002 Census.[1]
