Tumbbad, Maharashtra

Tumbbad is a village located on the banks of Jagbudi River in Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra's Konkan division. The village is about 100 kilometres away from the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary.[1] The village is famous for Mugger Crocodiles. Tumbbad is known for it’s ancient treasure. Though it can be a myth, as nobody knows exactly where the treasure is buried. It’s also true that some people of the village worships Hastar.
