Turkmensky District (Russian: Туркме́нский райо́н) is one of the twenty-six raions in the north of Stavropol Krai, Russia.[2] Municipally, it is incorporated as Turkmensky Municipal District.[4] The district was named for its significant Turkmen population, although it is not a majority. The area of the district is 2,612 square kilometers (1,008 sq mi).[2] Turkmensky's administrative center is the rural locality of Letnyaya Stavka.[2] In 2010, the population was 25,948. The population of Letnyaya Stavka accounts for 17.1% of Turkmensky's total population.[3]
