Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport[3] (IATA: HVN, ICAO: KHVN, FAA LID: HVN) is a public airport located three miles southeast of downtown New Haven, in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States.[4]
New Haven Airport is partly located in the City of New Haven (which owns the airport) and partly in the Town of East Haven.[4] It one of two airports with regularly scheduled commercial service in Connecticut, the other being Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.
Tweed Airport is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a non-hub primary commercial service facility.
Until 1961, the airport was known as New Haven Municipal Airport – at which time it was renamed for its first airport manager, John H. Tweed.
