Ugransky District (Russian: Угрáнский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,868.52 square kilometers (1,107.54 sq mi).[1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Ugra.[1] Population: 8,916 (2010 Census);[2] 11,022 (2002 Census);[5] 14,005 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Ugra accounts for 48.0% of the district's total population.[2]
