Umagico is a town and coastal locality in the Northern Peninsula Area Region, Queensland, Australia.[2][3] In the 2021 census, the locality of Umagico had a population of 394 people.[1]
Umagico is one of the five communities which collectively form the Northern Peninsula Area. The landmass of the Northern Peninsula Area consists of 1,030 square kilometres (400 sq mi) in the northernmost region of Cape York Peninsula. Apart from Umagico, the other communities in the Northern Peninsula Area are Injinoo, New Mapoon, Seisia and Bamaga.[4] There is an undeveloped town Aloa (10°53′05″S 142°21′04″E / 10.8848°S 142.3511°E) located on the coast.[5]
