Umaru Nagwamatse (Arabic: عمر بن أبو بكر أتيكو, romanizedʿUmar bin ʾAbū Bakr ʾAtiku; c.1806 – 1876) was the founder and the first ruler (Sarkin Sudan) of the Kontagora Emirate.[1] He was the grandson of Usman dan Fodio and the son of the second sultan of the Sokoto Caliphate, Sultan Abu Bakr Atiku.[2]
