District in Bryansk Oblast, Russia
Unechsky District (Russian : Унечский райо́н ) is an administrative[ 1] and municipal[ 5] district (raion ), one of the twenty-seven in Bryansk Oblast , Russia . It is located in the western central part of the oblast . The area of the district is 1,148 square kilometers (443 sq mi).[ 2] Its administrative center is the town of Unecha .[ 1] Population: 34,698 (2021 Census ) ;[ 7] 40,682 (2010 Census ) ;[ 3] 46,871 (2002 Census );[ 8] 49,383 (1989 Soviet census ) .[ 9] The population of Unecha accounts for 70.0% of the district's total population.[ 7]
