  About me
I started contributing to Wikipedia on March 21, 2006, registering this username on August 18, 2006. I am often inactive for a few months at a time, as my interest in this project waxes and wanes.

As far as editing, I like to create articles and get them far enough along to submit them to the Did You Know? section on the front page. I prefer the topics of these articles to be as obscure as possible.

The Saint Barnstar
For an editor who has contributed greatly to Saints on wikipedia!!!! Keep up the great work!!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 10:05, 12 April 2007 (UTC))

The DYK Medal
Your recent work in creating and/or expanding Saints articles has gotten articles you've worked on on the front page DYK section almost 10 times already. That isn't easy. You've done great work, and I hope that you continue to do so. Thank you. John Carter 23:52, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

The 25 DYK Medal
Congratulations! Here's a medal for you in appreciation of your hardwork in creating, expanding and nominating 25+ articles for DYK. Keep up the good work - It keeps us busy.... and Aedesius of Alexandria's mum would be happy too. Well done again, Alekjds! --Victuallers (talk) 16:26, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

The 50 DYK Creation and Expansion Medal
Please accept this award. Your wide-ranging contributions to Wikipedia have resulted in more than fifty of your newly created or expanded articles appearing on the Main page, in the Did you know? section. You are a great asset to the encyclopedia. Moonraker2 (talk) 14:04, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

cathedrals and church people

Thank you for quality articles on Catholic churches and their people, such as Max Schmalzl, St. John Gualbert Cathedral (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), Veronica of Milan, Crispus, Crispinianus, and Benedicta and 200+ more, for, - Alek, repeating (22 June 2010): you are an awesome Wikipedian!

The Civility Barnstar
I really appreciate your effort to be upfront and open at Wikipedia:Village pump (miscellaneous)/Archive 58#"Evangelization and Wikipedia". Your calm tone and careful explanation help make Wikipedia a great place to be and probably saved at least one editor from trying to figure out what Catholic Wikipedia editors were up to. Thanks!
