This report is a list of ranges used by known hosting providers that are not currently blocked on the English Wikipedia. It is updated daily. A previous version of this report was generated by User:SQLBot at User:SQL/Non-blocked compute hosts. The configuration for this report is stored at User:AntiCompositeBot/ASNBlock/config.json, which can be edited by administrators. The code is licensed under Apache 2.0 and is on Github.
The IP address ranges used by each provider are determined from RIPEstat data based on known AS numbers. As a second layer of protection, the name and description for each range in the WHOIS database is compared to search terms for each provider. These search terms help reduce false positives, but can not eliminate them. WHOIS results may be cached for about a week.
If you are not familiar with rangeblocks or web hosting providers, you should not block using this list. Before blocking, you should assure yourself that the range is being used by the relevant web hosting provider, and not an ISP or other legitimate use. It is a good idea to check the contributions and the WHOIS results for each range before blocking. A block length between 2 and 3 years is usually appropriate. If you are unsure, don't block.
