Not so much an ARTICLE, as a table ...
An editor asked me about the old WikiGuides pages, and that prompted me to look around what actually DID happen to them, as it was such a promising idea when it was started.
As it only lasted a few months, and caused a few stirs in the community, like this one, I wanted to see why it died ... and sooo quickly !!!
The table I made was VERY upsetting. It seems we were 10% worse off by 2019.
