Articles for creation
CookieMonster755 userpage information about his experience as a AfC member and introduction to AfC

Welcome to Cookie Monster's Articles for creation spinoff and userpage information! Here you will find why I joined the AfC WikiProject, and what exactly is Articles for Creation (AfC)?

Articles for creation is the process of creating a developing draft, which may become a future article in the main space. This process is generally used by new users and IP addresses (unregistered users), to ensure that their article qualifies as being in main space, and can get the appropriate fixes, and attention by experienced editors and AfC members. It is also to ensure security on Wikipedia, to make sure hoaxes and vandalism does not accouter. Using AfC does not necessarily mean you are new or inexperienced, because AfC members like me have submitted AfC articles to get a second opinion and to see what issues need to be fixed before it goes into the main space. IP addresses who submitted AfC are not judged because they are not registered. We appropriate Drafts being submitted by IP addresses! Us AfC members work with users who submit drafts to be in the main space. We accept draft into the main space, or decline the draft and give them our feedback. The AfC works as a peer review process. The reason why we accept your draft and move it into the main space as an article is because you followed Wikipedia guidelines, established notability, and provided reliable sources, and formatted the article correctly according to MoS guidelines. We want to showcase your work on Wikipedia, and as a AfC member, I am so proud of you for contributing to Wikipedia (When I mean your work, I don't mean you own the article, I mean that you created the article, and worked hard to get it published into the main space. For more information about why you don't own the article you wrote about, see Wikipedia:Ownership of articles)! The reason why we decline articles may be for several reasons like vandalism, hoaxes, blank content, very little content, no reliable sources, no secondary sources, no sources to establish notability, formatting issues, etc. When AfC members (including myself) usually leaves comments on how you can fix your article, and what spots (specific sentences, statements, paragraphs) need improvement. We work hard to communicate with AfC submitters like you, and we want to thank you for bearing with us in this fun, and sometimes frustrating, and slow process. The AfC process can be slow at times, due to the backlog of so many draft submissions. If your draft has not been accepted or declined, please be patient. We promise that we will get to your draft, sooner or later. So... What exactly is my role with AfC? Like I said, I am a member of the AfC WikiProject. I accept and decline your submissions, and give feedback to submitters. I also track the progress of submitters and to see what other new articles they will create (by adding them to my watchlist). This lets me see how you grow and understand Wikipedia guidelines overtime, and it really makes me happy to see submitters (new users, unregistered users) contribute here on Wikipedia. I will be creating a project called "Track my Progress", which you will be able to add your name to the list, and I will track and communicate with you about your progress, from becoming an AfC submitter, to even creating your own articles directly into the main space, and even get user rights (If you are interested in having an editor (not me; until my project is developed) track your progress and achievement on Wikipedia, please sign up as an adoptee by clicking here: Adopt-a-user program/Adoptee Resource Center)! I am so glad you came here to learn about my role in AfC WikiProject, about AfC, and I hope we can talk soon. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page: User talk:CookieMonster755. Thank you for reading my introduction on Wikipedia. Keep up the good work!
