Slipknot at the Mayhem Festival, a tour supporting the All Hope Is Gone World Tour, in 2008

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 1995. Slipknot began touring with other bands in 1999 beginning with the Ozzfest. Slipknot's first solo tour launched in 2001, the same year of their second studio album, Iowa, in which it was named after. During the Iowa World Tour, two minor tours emerged, Kill the Industy, and their second Ozzfest. Their next solo tour, The Subliminal Verses World Tour, came in 2004. This tour showed a record amount of Slipknot concerts in one tour, showing over 280 concert dates. The Subliminal Verses World Tour also brought about Slipknot's first live album, 9.0: Live. During the tour, Slipknot performed a classic Slipknot song from the first issue of Slipknot's debut album in 1999, Purity. The All Hope Is Gone World Tour came after the release of the fourth studio album, All Hope is Gone. In this tour, Slipknot toured in new countries, such as Israel, and several other countries.

Most concerts were performed with the following: Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. There were, however, a few shows that had to be done a few members short, usually because of injuries.[1]
