This userbox has two optional parameters. Without the fanof (or first) parameter, the top userbox will be shown; with it, the bottom will be shown. The second parameter, c, defines what category to add the page to (to go along with fanof if you'd like to add the page to a Category of fans of that team, for instance). By default, the page is added to Category:Wikipedians interested in the National Hockey League if fanof is specified but c is not. In all cases, the page is also added to Category:Wikipedians interested in hockey.
To use it correctly, place the following code on your page, replacing the fields as desired (the parameter names are themselves optional):
