Song Kang-ho is a South Korean actor who has won 39 out of 73 nominations. His role in No. 3 (1997) earned him his first Blue Dragon Film Awards and Grand Bell Awards. Song achieved further acclaim with Joint Security Area (2000), winning Best Actor at the Director's Cut Awards and Grand Bell Awards. He followed this role with Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002), a vengeance thriller helmed by Park Chan-wook and received nominations for Blue Dragon Film Award and Korean Film Award. Song starred in the crime drama Memories of Murder (2003), his first of many films with Bong Joon-ho, and won the Best Actor award from Korea Film Director's Network, The Motion Pictures Association of Korea, Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, Korea Film Directors' Society and Korean Association of Film Critics.
