The 2017–18 Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's ice hockey team represented the University of Notre Dame in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The team was coached by Jeff Jackson, in his 13th season with the Fighting Irish. The Fighting Irish played their home games at Compton Family Ice Arena on campus in Notre Dame, Indiana. It was the Irish hockey team's first season in the Big Ten Conference, where they moved after participating in the Hockey East since 2013.[3]

The Fighting Irish finished with a conference record of 17–6–1, which made them Big Ten regular season champions. They won the 2018 Big Ten Tournament with a 3–2 overtime victory against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
