I am a professional editor. My earliest Wikipedia edits, as an unregistered user, consisted mostly of inserting missing commas. When I decided to register, I chose "Instant Comma" as my user name, a reference to the John Lennon song "Instant Karma!"
I have now been editing for two years and still do not understand all the rules. I doubt I ever will. I am grateful for the helpful attitude of most of the editors, but remain surprised and discouraged whenever I encounter a Wikipedia veteran who behaves like a bully, particularly when that editor is an admin.
