Hey, I'm Joshua Luke Parris, I'm living in Bendigo this year studying a Bachelor of Information Technology.

I was born in Dalby, Queensland and moved to Narromine in 1999. I went to Burrabadine Cornerstone Christian School from 2000 to 2006 and Dubbo Christian School from 2007 to 2012.

In 2013 I moved to Swan Hill to start my studies with Cornerstone Community Australia.

I moved to Orange in 2014 to study my Diploma in Christian Studies also with Cornerstone Community.

In 2015 I moved to Bendigo to start my Outdoor Education degree at La Trobe.

In 2016 I kept going with Outdoor Education. The second semester of 2016 I studied Secondary Teaching at La Trobe in Bendigo.

In 2017 I lived in Dubbo studying a Certificate III in Library Studies at Tafe. I also worked for a foster children's company and the Dubbo Macquire Regional Library.

I was back in Bendigo in 2018 and continued my Outdoor Education Degree.

In 2019 I was married on the 6th of April and finished my Outdoor Education degree.

I greatly recommend Clive Staple Lewis's book called Mere Christianity to anyone who wants to know what Christians are on about... There is a book and Dvd called "The Christ Files" which are by John Dickson which shows historical evidence for Christianity and the claims of Jesus.

I think Wikipedia is an excellent way for people from a plethora of languages and cultures to find information on lots of different subjects, whether for research or personal interest (or something else) *2. But of course there are many other good sources too. It is good to know that there are a lot of people out there who give up their time to make this online encyclopedia better for people to research info on quite a few different subjects.

Some stuff I like are:

-Jesus/God/Christianity

-Many many different friends and family who are awesome in so many different ways

- Stargate / Doctor Who / Science fiction

- Squash (the game)

Stuff I don't like are: -addiction

-misunderstanding *3

-the attitude of thinking that a universe as complicated as this could evolve out of nothing. Maybe God did create the world with a bang, but thats not the point. The attitude, mindset and lives of people are what matters. *4 Well, discovering and follow Christ in committed loving relationships are what matters, treating others as ourselves and loving God with all our hearts, minds and strength. (The greatest commandments Jesus talked about) Hard work, love, diligence, trust and kindness are all things that makes the world a better place. Jesus is the prime example of this.

I think it is interesting how the core beliefs of the Bible have remained, for the past 2000 years, true. Even though there have been many many people trying to disprove Christianity. I welcome people trying to disprove Christianity, because in that way many people have become Christians.

There are some great books out there like: Who moved the stone, The Case for Christ (by Josh McDowell) and C.S.Lewis's books. Stephen Lawhead is a good author too with books like Empryon and J.R.R.Tolkien with books like the Silmarillion, The Hobbit and The Lord of the rings.

Its interesting how many people one man (Jesus) can affect. *5

So I like Theology too... but practical, lived out Christianity in the thoughts, actions, minds and hearts of everyone is what i am on about. Relationships are the most important thing really, with Christ, with others. There are so many things worth living for in this life.
